The Mystery of True Love

souls to meet

True Love1

Hey Everybody!

Isn’t it funny how you can meet certain people and your life is forever changed. I know I sound like a broken record but this is a subject I often ponder about. Seriously though. How come we are drawn to specific individuals during our life? We interact with hundreds of thousands of other souls during the course of our lifetime. Why those particular ones? I do not have a definitive answer to these questions. It remains a mystery to me. I do agree with the famous author Paulo Coelho who wrote “Important encounters are planned by the souls long before the bodies meet each other.” Remember, nothing in life is a coincidence.

But how are we intended to navigate through life? There are tons of people who are just mindlessly moving from day to day, without giving much thought to what they are experiencing. I believe that we can easily fall into the trap of just existing and focusing on our daily routines without viewing the big picture. When you stay in the present, you receive gifts. Let me explain. Every day we are provided with clues to let us know if we’re on the right track. These clues come in a variety of different forms (i.e. songs on the radio, signs/words, deja vu, advice from another person, etc.). For instance, while I was waiting for my university bus to arrive today, I witnessed a truck drive by and on the back of this truck was the saying, “Not all who wander are lost.” Coincidently, I chose that quote for my Skype profile 2 days ago. The Universe is definitely sending me signs 🙂 We just have to keep our eyes open in order to see them.

I still find myself fantasizing on where I’ll meet my “soul mate” or “true love.” I know that I must let it go so that this person may enter my life (because when you hold on too tightly, you tend to push away the things you desire). But it’s a daily challenge for me to just go with the flow. I’ve been given an amazing gift of meeting important people throughout my life (a good number of them while I was traveling overseas). Some of these people helped redirect me back to my true life path. I am immensely grateful for getting the opportunity to know these individuals (even if only for a short time). You know who you all are and I thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Frequently, I imagine what my significant other might be doing, or where in the world they are, or what point they’re at in their life journey. I know that when the time is right, that we will meet each other. I’m still working on myself at the moment and it’s a process which takes time. I’m growing more everyday and I’m becoming the person whom I want to be. I have a feeling that however we do end up meeting, will somehow be an interesting story . I find it absolutely fascinating that out of all the billions of people in the world, that we will only date or become intimate with a select few. The world is a strange place. My last question is, how do you know when you meet “the one”? Maybe we never really “know”, as knowing would indicate that the mind was in charge of making this decision. I believe it is the heart that intuitively guides us. Perhaps it’s not a knowing but a feeling that we get when we’re with that special person. A recognition of each other’s energy. In that moment, the feeling is right and everything just falls into place.

Well, I’ve gone off onto another hopeless romantic tangent. But I would love to know your thoughts on this subject. Or better yet, how did you met “the one” or a former flame? Any story can be a good story when it comes to love. Please post your opinions or stories below in the comments, if you’d like. I’d love to read what y’all have to say 🙂

I will leave you all with one of my favorite quotes…

“When the soul is ready, the mate will appear” – Anonymous

Until next time, stay awesome 😉
